Classes

With its energetic movement, lively dance style and pounding rhythmic beats, Bhangra has quickly become a popular music phenomenon. Bhangra's influence can be found in new hip hop songs from many big artists (i.e.Jay-Z feat. Punjabi MC) and much of the music from the northern parts of India. Whether you are an experienced dancer or have never danced before, Bhangra is a great way to meet new people, get a great workout and have fun!

Come and learn Bhangra from the members of Boston Bhangra, a nonprofit organization consisting of professional dancers from all around Boston. The instructors for this course have taught many of the various leaders of Bhangra teams at schools throughout Boston. The Boston Bhangra dance group is recognized as one of the leading Bhangra dance groups in North America. Come and join us to learn traditional and modern versions of the Punjabi folk dance, and share the energy that Bhangra stirs in all of us.

We welcome drop-ins but would prefer some advance notice to help prepare our classes.

Classes will take place on every Sunday morning and our NEW bhangra classes will be every Tuesday evening and every Saturday morning! These classes will be a combination of learning bhangra, and getting a workout.  Since bhangra is such an energetic dance, these terms are almost synonymous.  Thus, we are calling these new classes, bhangra workout classes.
